How Many Packs Do You Need?

The number of hair extension sets you'll need depends on your hair type and the look you're going for. Here's a quick guide:

Classic Tape In Extensions (100g per pack, 40 wefts)

  • Volume boost only: 1 pack (100g) is usually enough
  • Full head transformation or adding 2-3+ inches of length
  • 2 packs (200g) for the best results

Remy Royale Tape In Extensions (50g per pack, 20 wefts)

  • Volume boost only: 2 packs (100g)
  • Full head transformation: 3-4 packs (150-200g)

Remy Royale packs are 50g with 20 wefts, compared to 100g and 40 wefts in Classic packs, so you'll need more packs to get the same coverage. If you have short hair extensions won't cover easily, or very fine hair, chat with our team and we'll help you work out the perfect amount.

All tape in extensions should be fitted and removed by a qualified hair extension specialist to protect your natural hair.

  • Wash with care - use a sulphate-free shampoo to keep the hair soft and hydrated. Sulphates dry out human hair extensions and shorten their lifespan.
  • Brush gently - always use an extension-friendly brush like our detangling brush. Avoid anything with bobbles, as these can damage the seams.
  • Watch out for chlorine and salt water - both can affect the quality of the adhesive and the hair itself. Cover your hair or avoid swimming where possible.
  • Book regular maintenance - your stylist will need to remove and reapply your tape extensions with fresh adhesive tabs every 6-8 weeks to keep everything secure and comfortable.
