Celebrity Big Brother 2013

It’s that time again! Love it or hate it, Celebrity Big Brother is back and here to take over our screens for the next few weeks. We were glued to our screens for the launch show on Thursday evening, after much speculation that Lindsay Lohan was due to appear on the show. Questionable celebrity after celebrity entered the house and in a dramatic twist, half were banished to the basement. Our eyes were of course on what they were wearing and how they had styled their hair! Let’s take a look…

First lady in the house was former model and fling of Simon Cowell, Paula Hamilton (51), who was greeted by loud boos. She said, ‘I had an extremely glamorous and very privileged lifestyle. I found fashion shows in Paris quite exhausting, though. Bad habits in the house? I think I might snore, I’ve been single for so long I don’t know.’ However, no traces of her glamorous lifestyle were evident in her fashion choices for the evening.

The former model looked decidedly dressed down, in mushroom corduroys and a plain white top. She finished her look with a thick floor length sheepskin coat, leading some viewers to suspect she had previously been told that she would be banished to the basement.

Paula’s makeup was minimal, with a hint of illuminator on her cheeks to give her a glow. Her hair although short, looked bouncy and voluminous thanks to a blow dry, although she could have benefitted from some hair extensions to add a touch of glamour!

Next up was former Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose, who had made more of an effort in a glamour full length embellished dress.

The star complained, ‘you might know me best as always having the worst dress on at parties. I always get slated for everything I wear. I’m either mutton dressed as lamb or too fat.’

Tricia was lucky enough to get a place in the main house, whilst Paula was banished to the basement. She smiled in delight when she was told of her fate.

Tricia looked glowing and tanned and enhanced her pretty blue eyes with smoky brown shadow. She wore a peach toned blusher and finished off her makeup look with a slick of lipgloss. The stars brunette locks were streaked with honey blonde, giving her a multi tonal look. Whilst her light curls did add volume to her look, she could have further enhanced her hair with some double wefted clip in hairextensions, in our Brown Blonde Mix (#4/613)

Former Eastenders actress Gillian Taylforth was next to be rewarded with a place in the house. The star, who played Kathy Beale in the soap showcased her slim figure in a slinky floor length red dress.

She looked understated and glamorous with a golden eyeshadow and flush to her cheeks. Gillian’s hair would be the perfect match for our #22/613,  Blonde hair extensions – a mixture of Ash Blonde and Bleach Blonde. These could add length to finish off her glam look.

The next female to grace the Big Brother house was Page 3 model and lads mag favourite Lacey Banghard.

The pretty 20 year old wore a sheer midi dress over vintage underwear, accesorised with an on trend chunky necklace. Her hair looked glossy and healthy in bouncing ringlets, which complemented her natural makeup and glowing complexion.

The final two female celebrities to enter the house (and basement) were former Steps star Claire Richards and The Hills star Heidi Montag.

Claire Richards has famously battled with her weight, and caused  a storm when she piled the pounds back on just a few months after releasing a hyped fitness DVD.

The star since admits giving up on weight loss and concentrating on being happy. She looked glamorous and pretty in a calf length sequinned black dress and elbow length leather gloves. Her bleach blonde hair looked as if it had been toned with a silver shampoo, as it had a slight lilac tone to it. Claire’s hair was loosely curled and she wore it without hair extensions, despite previously admitting to being a fan of them.

The Hills star Heidi Montag provides the glamour for this series of Celebrity Big Brother.

Her and husband Spencer Pratt were banished to the basement, a far cry from their usual luxurious lives. As well as being known for appearing on US reality show The Hills, Heidi is also famous for her penchant for cosmetic surgery, recently undergoing ten procedures to alter her looks. She did however look naturally radiant at the launch, wearing an elegant sequin wrap dress and hair extensions.
