    Cate Blanchett

Cate Blanchett led in the glamour stakes at the premiere for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

Cate looked elegant and stunning in a floor length cream Givenchy gown, ensuring she was warm and stylish on London’s chilly red carpet. Cate’s look provided a hint of sex appeal when she turned around, revealing a cut out detail which exposed the star’s toned back and showed off some flesh to the excitable crowd. The actress plays Galadriel in the much anticipated film and finished off the look by sweeping her blonde hair up in a simple updo, with her hair swirled into a neat bun at the nape of her neck. Cate carried a cute clutch bag which matched the fabric of her dress.

Cate’s look is understated and classy. To recreate her look this Christmas, remember less is more. Keep your makeup light and natural, and choose a foundation as close to your natural skintone as possible. Use a good serum on your hair and tie it in a ponytail at your neck. Twist the ponytail round into a bun and secure with Kirby grips.

    Rebecca Ferdinands

Actress Rebecca Ferdinandas looked pretty and elegant in a silver gown with silk panels. The gown featured a corset style upper body section and a fishtail skirt, and complemented Rebecca’s figure perfectly.

She accessorised her look with simple jewellery and accessories, including a small diamante clutch. Rebecca wore her hair in a ‘half up, half down’ style. A side fringe framed her face yet having her hair falling down her back allowed focus on her features. To recreate Rebecca’s long locks, ClipHair offer a similar highlighted blonde colour in #18/613.

    Chloe Tangney

JLS heartthrob JB Gill brought his long term girlfriend, Chloe Tangney along to the premiere, who looked pretty and glamorous in a black dress with a layered tulle skirt. Chloe looked on trend with dark red lips and smoky eyes, and finished off her look with a classic pair of Christian Louboutin heels. Chloe’s hair looked pretty and delicate as she had it swept back with a few loose curls around her face. To recreate Chloe’s look, use a heated curling tong to curl the lengths of your hair, paying particular attention to the hair that frames your face. Split your hair into four sections and one by one take each section and pin it to the back of your head loosely. Finish with a shine spray for added Christmas sparkle!

    Evangeline Lilly

At the worldwide premiere for The Hobbit in Wellington, New Zealand, former Lost star Evangeline Lilly stole the show in a pink sparkly frock as she revealed her new hairstyle.

The pretty brunette looked miles away from the tomboy character on our screens when she played Kate Austen in Lost. Evangeline Lilly has been out of the spotlight since the shows end in 2010 and obviously wanted to come back with a bang as she surprised crowds with her new look.

Choosing a short dress which showed off her enviable pins and nude shoes to lengthen her legs, Evangeline looked young and on trend with her new playful cropped hair. She added a flash of colour by dying the front section a bright blonde shade, contrasting with the rest of her natural brunette locks.

What do you think of Evangeline’s new style? Would you be brave enough to cut all of your hair off?
