With this cold wintery weather causing our hair to feel dry and brittle, and humidity making frizz an issue, it’s time to turn to some trusty treatments to bring our locks back to life! We’ve compiled a collection of our favourites below.
MoroccanOil – this isn’t the first time we’ve raved about the amazing MoroccanOil. Not only does this wonder juice leave your hair silky smooth, looking and feeling stronger, and frizz free, it also cuts drying time and helps your hair to grow. The range is a little pricey, but a little goes a long way.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Shampoo and Conditioner – this range is perfect for rainy, drizzly weather as it smooths your hair and keeps it under control when it’s unruly and misbehaving. The Frizz Ease range is really affordable and there are often great offers on, giving you no excuses not to have beautifully frizz free hair!
A very hard one, but avoid using heat on your hair! When blow drying, use the lowest heat setting – this will stop frizz and ensure a smooth finish. Over time, you’ll notice a huge difference in the condition of your hair. This goes for straighteners too – try wearing your hair in braids to bed – you’ll wake up with soft beach waves without the need for straighteners or curlers!
Use a tangle teezer or a good quality hairbrush with nylon bristle to avoid snagging your hair and causing breakage.
Maintain a healthy diet – plenty of water will make your hair glossy and healthy looking, along with fruit and vegetables to promote growth.
Why not give yourself a winter transformation? Snip your split ends off, or go for a dramatic cut – you’ll be amazed at how much healthier your hair will feel and this will give you the opportunity to start from scratch!
